I don't know who they are, but I'm sure there are people out there who found the blood in Conan the Barbarian to be too subtle, or perhaps the sex in HBO's Game of Thrones to not be prevalent enough. It's for those people that the genre of swordsploitation was created (as far as I know, I just coined that word).

On August 23, Shout! Factory will unleash its two-disc Sword and Sorcery Collection, featuring classics of the swordsploitation genre such as Deathstalker, Deathstalker II, Barbarian Queen, and the creatively titled The Warrior and the Sorceress.

If you haven't guessed by now, all these movies are almost unwatchably bad. They all seem to have the same basic storyline and the same basic main character. They also include copious amounts of gratuitous nudity that might be titillating for a twelve-year-old who isn't put off by the fact that almost all the scenes all take place with the nude women being stripped forcibly by whatever baddies these B-movies have dreamed up. And guess what? The leading lady in The Warrior and the Sorceress has four -- count them, four -- breasts! The more the better, right?

I can't imagine who would enjoy these movies, though I suppose there is a cult group of people out there somewhere who really enjoy this sort of so-bad-they're-bad movies. I, for one, am not one of them. If you are, though, you can order the set on Amazon.
