If you haven't seen anything really weird recently, Black Dynamite is the movie for you. An homage to blaxploitation movies of the '70's and '80's (i.e. Sweet Sweetback's Baadasssss Song and Shaft), this film is just looking weirder and weirder (which translates in my vocabulary to better and better).
The video below, a fake children's show named Ding Dong Roar, features a cast of characters who argue against using drugs in the orphanages, which featured the character Black Dynamite (the protagonist of the film) giving warnings to kids about the dangers of drugs with friendly-sounding names to an upbeat tempo while promoting the fake charity Fight Smack in the Orphanage. It's rather funny, and it makes me want to see the film even more badly. Black Dynamite, directed by Scott Sanders, will be released in theatres October 16, 2009.
