Who would have thought that Facebook would have it's own movie?
While news of the Facebook movie,The Social Network, is kind of old and the film lensing in L.A. as we speak, the cast is steadily growing with the addition of Rashida Jones, according to Variety. The Social Network chronicles the founding of what has become the cocaine of internet obsession: Facebook. The movie has been dubbed, "a comedy-drama" and is based on the book, The Accidental Billionaires: The Founding of Facebook, , A Tale of Sex, Money, Genius, and Betrayal, which chronicled the lives of Facebook founders, Eduardo Saverin and Mark Zuckerberg. Neither founder is involved withe film, but Eduardo Saverin served as consultant on the book.
The film, which is being directed by David Fincher (Seven, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, and Fight Club), also stars Justin Timberlake, Jesse Eisenberg, Brenda Song, Andrew Garfield and Rooney Mara. Kevin Spacey serves as a producer for the movie, while Aaron Sorkin wrote the script. It is unclear what role Jones will play in the film at this moment.
The Social Network will be released on October 15, 2010.
