Gone, the new missing person thriller starring the blonde bombshell Amanda Seyfried now has a first poster full people to devour.
The film will see Seyfried play Jill Parrish, a young woman who returns from her night shift to find her sister has gone missing. Having been kidnapped herself one year earlier, Jill is sure the same villain has abducted her sister, but the police are unconvinced.
Of course Jill proceeds to do what any reasonable person would do in her situation, laying her hands on a gun and looks to the take the law into her own hands. This of course has no dangerous reprecussions, but needs must.
Gone will be directed by Heitor Dhalia, the Brazilian film director and screenwriter who has directed five films since 1988, which has included A Deriva, a film that competed in the Un Certain Regard section of the 2009 Cannes Film Festival.
The impressive cast includes Amanda Seyfried, Emily Wickersham, Sebastian Stan, Jennifer Carpenter, Wes Bentley and Jordan Fry in conjunction with Lakeshore Entertainment, Sidney Kimmel Entertainment and Summit Entertainment.
The poster can be seen below now.
The poster is a bit of a mish mash of ideas, with three silhouettes overlapping in rather haphazard fashion. Seyfried herself looks like she means business and the tagline of "No one believes her. Nothing will stop her" means that she is likely to kick plenty of ass along the way.
You can also follow this link to view the films trailer which sets up the film pretty well without giving away most of the films plot. Seyfried has also been in talks for the lead role of Linda Lovelace for the biopic of the infamous porn star, which is definitely a move toward more mature roles for the actress.
Gone will be released in the US on 24th February 2012.
