That is what Harry Knowles from Ain’t It Cool News is reporting from talking with Eric Goldman of IGN news.
Apparently the two were at the Avatar premiere and Singer mentioned that after he directs another film, Jack the Giant Killer, that he will return to the X-Men franchise (which people will never forget he left after Superman Returns and the result being X-Men: The Last Stand) and will helm the pic, which is sort of an origin story.
The last word on the movie was that Josh Scwartz was writing and directing, but an article proved the latter is wrong and Schwartz indeed is/has written the script for the movie.
So wassup, fans? Are you willing to welcome back Bryan Singer back with open arms to the X-Men franchise? (ducks and covers…)
